1,417 FUT Hair Grafts and Medical Therapy For Added Density

This 47-year-old male had undergone a previous FUT donor strip surgery elsewhere with good results, but came to Dr. Rogers so she could achieve added density. He had been on finasteride in the past but lapsed, so Dr. Rogers urged him to restart finasteride and add oral minoxidil to achieve better results. Although his hair was fine, the hair density in his donor area was good.

After consultation, the patient decided to go ahead with medical therapy and to have an additional FUT hair transplant. During surgery to densify throughout the top and front of his scalp, Dr. Rogers transplanted 1,417 hair grafts.
