Hair Transplant Update – 1600 Hair Grafts

This 57-year-old male patient had previously had hair transplant surgeries starting around the age of 20, when larger punch grafts were then the only option. He wanted to fill in his thinning hair across the top of his scalp and camouflage the previous larger hair grafts.

His goal was to add coverage and restore a more natural hairline. Although Dr. Rogers presented medical therapy options, the patient was not interested and preferred hair transplant surgery.

Dr. Rogers and her team transplanted 1,600 grafts using a linear strip excision (SLE, or FUT) to fill in the thinning areas and fill in his hairline.

One yearpost-op the patient said his expectations were ‘exceeded’ and that he was so happy with the enhanced softness and naturalness of his hairline and the added coverage and fullness on the top of the scalp.
