63 Year Old, FUE Hair Transplant, NW 5 Hair Loss
This 63-year-old gentleman was referred by his local dermatologist for evaluation of progressive hair loss affecting the frontal scalp over several years. Prior to his initial consultation, he had not pursued any medical therapies for hair restoration.

Following a comprehensive evaluation, he was started on medical therapy with finasteride 1 mg daily, and a surgical plan was developed. He subsequently underwent a follicular unit extraction (FUE) hair transplant procedure, with a total of 2,012 grafts placed to restore the frontal hairline and density.
Given his active lifestyle and preference for wearing his hair shorter in the donor area, FUE was selected as the optimal harvesting technique.
At his 12-month follow-up, he demonstrated excellent growth and cosmetic improvement. The patient reported that he “couldn’t be more pleased” with his results and shared that he plans to celebrate the one-year milestone by running a 10K race.
