Advanced Combination Medical Hair Loss Therapy

This 55-year-old female was facing several family stressors, which made it hard for her to care for herself, and she also noticed a lot of hair shedding. She had a very strong family history of hair loss. She visited Dr. Rogers for an initial hair loss consultation and was prescribed oral finasteride 5mg daily. This medication was a great option because she was entering menopause and would not get pregnant, and finasteride cannot be prescribed to women who could get pregnant.

About one year after starting finasteride, she returned and was seeing very nice results. We continued her spironolactone, which another dermatologist had started for her skin. Dr Rogers added oral minoxidil and suggested adding a few treatments with the Keralase a 1927nm laser, followed by application of biomimetic growth factors and some Low LaserLight Therapy (LLLT).

After being on a combination of these medical therapies and undergoing the Keralase laser for 3 sessions, she returned for more photos and was thrilled with her results. She states that she finally feels like “her hair is back”!
