Female Hair Loss Case Study – PRP Injection Therapy
This 64 year old female was experiencing significant hair thinning along the frontal hairline and behind the ears. We believed that her hair loss was related to either female pattern hair loss (FPHL), alopecia areata, or frontal fibrosing alopecia but her diagnosis was unclear despite multiple conflicting biopsy reports.
After failing a number of other medical therapies we decided to perform 3 sessions of platelet rich plasma (PRP). Her photos before and 5 months after initiating PRP with topical minoxidil are shown here.
