Hair Transplant Case Study 1,700 Grafts For Hairline And Crown Restoration

This 69-year-old male patient was experiencing frontal bitemporal recession and crown vertex thinning of his hair (Norwood 3A Hair loss classification). He had been using topical Rogaine (minoxidil) to maintain his hair for years but wanted a fuller, more youthful appearance. During his consultation with Dr. Rogers, she determined that he was in good general health and had excellent donor hair on the sides and back of his head. Together with the patient she designed an age-appropriate hairline and proceeded to transplant 1,700 hair grafts containing 1-4 hair follicles per graft. She also prescribed oral finasteride 1mg daily to his hair maintenance regime.

At his 1 year follow up he was very happy with the full natural appearance of his hair.
