Dr Rogers hosted all 12 of the Tulane Dermatology residents in her clinic on Friday, August 23rd, 2019. The day began with a short overview explaining FUT vs FUE hair surgery, covering various medical therapies, and then the surgery began at 8am. Our patient underwent donor ellipse (FUT) harvesting to receive over 1000 grafts. It was his second surgery to fill in the areas behind where we transplanted last time. In between time the residents did a ‘hairy’ crossword puzzle and studied images of scalp disorders. Lastly they observed a case of scalp micropigmentation (SMP) in a woman with hair thinning.

It was a great day of follicular fun and learning by all!
